The Food Doctor launch Goodness Pots

Business News 04.02.19

The Food Doctor is taking its healthy eating approach into the snack pot category with the launch this week of its new Goodness Pots.

The Indian Style Rice & Lentils Goodness Pot and Mexican Style Rice & Beans Goodness Pot are made from natural ingredients which are high in fibre, low in sugar and salt, and provide a warm and nutritious meal in just five minutes with the addition of hot water. They’re also gluten free and have a stamp of approval from the Vegan Society.

David Balmer, The Food Doctor Managing Director, said: “Our new pots have been created with busy people in mind who are looking for a tasty, more nutritionally balanced option for when they’re on-the-go. Unlike some other products on the market, our Goodness Pots are a source of protein and high in fibre. They also score green for being low in sugar and salt – making them a healthier and more nutritious option than competitors without compromising on taste and flavour.

“Getting people to eat more fibre is just one of the Government’s key health initiatives. According the British Nutrition Foundation, on average, women are having 17.2g per day and men 20.1g per day, whereas the recommended average intake for adults is 30g per day.”

The new Goodness Pots launch in Morrisons on Monday, February 4. Each pot weighs 70g and has a MRRSP of 1.90p.
