A more sustainable food industry
Following the success of last year, colleagues from across our businesses – Aunt Bessie’s, Abel & Cole, MyFresh, The Food Doctor and our bakery, Jacksons – gathered together today (9 October) for our second Sustainable Supply Chain Conference.
Joined by people and partners from our supply chains, the conference included insights from expert speakers on sustainability issues which are really important to the future of the food industry, and attendees took part in workshops to share ideas and learn from each other.
We’re a sixth-generation family business and work with suppliers, growers and customers from across the UK and Europe, as well as retailers and other food manufacturers – and as a responsible business we feel we should bring people who want to create a more sustainable food industry together.
Our Sustainability Director, Dr Gavin Milligan, said: “We work closely with our suppliers and growers and we are keen to encourage the industry to work together to continually look for ways to ensure a sustainable future.
“We have strong ties with some really inspiring people in the world of sustainability and being able to bring these experts and some of our suppliers together to discuss industry challenges is a real privilege.”
